My friends always called me Lemar, from Lemachi nd Chris from my last name Chris-Asoluka, at first It was quite hard finding a name, but along the line my guys just put the names together so instead of coming up with a rap name, I just joined the two and here I am, Lemar Chris…
So WHAT KINDA MUSIC ARE YOU INTO?
I'm a Rapper, but try as much as possible to be commercial, that's why I feature a lot, to ensure my music is enjoyed by all….
NOWADAYS EVERYONE SEEMS TO BE RAPPING,WHAT DIFFERENTIATES LEMAR CHRIS?
First of all, Shout Out to those who make good music, a lot of people now rap but not for the same reasons, some rap for fame or the love of it, I hate seeing people just make music for the sake of it, with no passion and this could be seen in their works, well Lemar Chris is not just a rapper who bores people with lines, I also write most of my songs even after featuring people on it and could also have the naija touch also. To cut things short, I write songs (not just raps),I could do strict hip hop and lastly I could be very commercial….
SO HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?
Roughly a year now !!! Been freestyling for over 3 years now but started making music early last year
INSPIRATION?
My Inspiration, Kanye West is my biggest inspiration, he works so hard to get things done, people mistaken his confidence for Pride, also I get inspiration from Nas, Talib Kwali, if I come closer I could say MI , my boys Timix nd Trick, they're rappers who are very talented and focused….
IF U WEREN'T DOING MUSIC,WHAT WULD U BE DOING?
Tough question, I would have been writing for artistes !!! Given soccer more time and concentrate solely on my Education….
HOBBIES?
I love watching/talking soccer, writing, listening to music and hanging out with friends basically…

I have 2, At the Kechi fundraiser, landmark village, I performed just after Waje and Muna, the special part of it was though the crowd did not only consist of youths, I was able to bring the older ones in it,secondly at bridgehouse Prom/ball, every one was amazing…
EMBARASSING PERFOMANCE?
Lmao, when I performed at a party and the music went off, people just continued what they were doing in the dark !!! In the beginning though !!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECORD A SONG?
It depends on how fast the people you're working with are, usually the singing takes a little longer to perfect so a rap song would be shorter, if I've rehearsed the song before coming to the studio, I take roughly 3 hours…
